It was so cold that night that we were trying to figure out how to use the blankets to best advantadge in order to keep warm! "I don't know, don't ask me!" "Ok...I think this will work....maybe...."
"Would you like a pretzel, Anna?"
I thought this one was neat!

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. -Ps.139:14

12 Years Ago Today....

I was trying to figure out exactly what a "nephew" was....and why I suddenly seemed to be in possession of one.
Sometime during the first year
No date on this picture, but I'm going to guess we were eight and four
My tenth birthday
A birthday for me would never be the same without at least one blonde kid next to me "helping", guessing what packages contained, blowing out the candles with me, and being goofy. :) No longer only one helper do I have...on my last birthday I counted eight! I am one very blessed auntie.

No date here either, but I think probably eleven and seven or thereabouts

Ten, six, and Zachary

The four men last Christmas..Zachary, Henry, Stephen and George

Stephen Alexander Truitt....my oldest nephew, as close as any brother.

Growing up with Alex's kids next door was almost the same as having younger siblings. Through the years we've done everything possible together. I've watched Stephen grow up, and I am so very proud of the man he's becoming.

Happy Twelfth Birthday, Steve!

Zachary Austin

Today our Zach turned six! It's hard to believe that he's grown up so much already. We love you, Zachary, you are such a blessing in our family!

Fortieth Anniversary

June 6th, 1969
Mom and Dad with the oldest (Nat).... ...and the youngest (me) The whole gang Today. Yesterday, June 6th, was the fortieth anniversary of the day that Susan Mary Probeck and Douglas Allan Truitt said "I do". Through the years we've all heard the story of how one day in 1968, Dad was sitting in a college class which Mom was also in. Mom answered a question, and Dad thought to himself "Now there's a woman I could marry." Keep in mind he didn't know her! I guess forty years ago Daddy must've been about the same way that he is now..once he makes up his mind to do something, you can consider it as good as done. On June 6th, 1969, my dear parents were married. Through forty years and many moves, children, heartaches and joys, Mom and Dad have stayed strong. When they got saved in their thirties they determined to raise their children in a Christian home. I think my siblings would all agree that they've done wonderful job. Watching my parents I've seen what a strong, Godly, loving marriage looks like. As my brother Alex said.."What a witness!" We love you, and are so thankful for you!
John's birthday post is below...as you see, June is a busy month for us!
Sorry about the pictures of pictures, btw..
